Researchers found that a significant number of these items, which often carry a higher price tag due to the oil's perceived health benefits, may not contain the pure ingredient consumers expect. The results were troubling. Many samples showed signs of being cut with cheaper oils, such as soybean, sunflower, or canola oil. In some cases, the primary oil in the bottle was not avocado at all.
