Citadel Students Gain Guaranteed Admission to Mass General Brigham Health Programs

Citadel Students Gain Guaranteed Admission to Mass General Brigham Health Programs

The Citadel has established a guaranteed admissions agreement with Mass General Brigham University of Health Professions, giving cadets and students a direct pathway into some of the most competitive graduate and doctoral health programs in the country.

The partnership creates reserved seats for qualifying Citadel graduates in several advanced degree tracks. Students who meet specific academic benchmarks, including GPA requirements and prerequisite coursework, will receive guaranteed admission rather than competing in the general applicant pool.

Mass General Brigham University of Health Professions is affiliated with one of the nation's largest academic medical systems. Its programs include nursing, physician assistant studies, physical therapy, and other clinical fields that typically draw thousands of applicants for limited spots.

For The Citadel, the agreement builds on the military college's growing emphasis on health sciences. The school has expanded its pre-health curriculum in recent years, adding faculty and lab resources to prepare students for professional programs.

Officials at both institutions described the arrangement as a way to streamline the transition from undergraduate study to advanced clinical training. Citadel students who complete the required coursework and maintain strong academic standing can now plan their graduate education with more certainty.

The first cohort of eligible students could begin applying under the new terms as early as the next admissions cycle.
